Avoid the following techniques:

How to Identify Unnatural Links in Your Website:
There are multiple ways to figure out unnatural links. through paid tools we can figured it out like Ahrefs, Majestic and etc...we can also figured it out from Google Webmaster Tools Console. Search Traffic ---> Links to your site you will get below screen
You can see who links the most under that you will find domain names which pointing to your links, if you will click on more you can see full list of domains those who linked to your website. In the below screenshot you will find list of domains and you can download those list of domain to analysis which links are unnatural or not.
As you can see in the above screenshot if you will click on Download this Table you will get only domain names and how many links pointing to your website. If you will click on Download Latest Links you will get all the backlink URLs with dates wise you can see.
From that Excel sheet you need to figured it out by checking each and every domain based on some of the below factors,
- Links on Low quality sites (Porn, Pills, Casinos)
- Links with Spam Domains and Pages
- Links with Duplicate Anchor Text
- Links on Duplicate Articles
- Links pointing to spam Affiliate links or Pages
- Using automated back-linking software’s like SENuku and Magic Submitter.
Creating a Spread Sheet of Unnatural Links
Once your are ready to go for analysing each and every domain you have to maintain one spreadsheet to track the below factors,
- Link From URL: The URL of the page where it resides
- Link to URL: The page (URL) on your website which point to that link.
- Keyword: Anchor text used.
- Email contact: For the “Link From” website.
- Link Removal Request - I: Insert date of removal request.
- Link Removal Request - II:
- Insert date of removal request (One week after request one).
- Link Removal Request - III: Insert date of removal request (One week after request two).
- Link Status: Live or removed.
